Day 4 - 01/12/08
WOOT! Sailing back today was much more easier compared to yesterday, because there was help from the motor boat again. Thus we only had to sail for a short distance. Detached the equipments from the whaler and washed them. I wanted to go and shower immediately! My head is like filled with ants, so itchy! Return the gears to the cage and had my SHOWER^^ Had lunch after that and went for an activity, "Giant Ladder". I was in Group 3, with Andrina and Nicholas. I have tried this before with Chang Yang in OBSingapore before, climbed to the 4th step and that was it. But this time, we succeed =) That place is filled with Mosquitoes! I could even hear the buzzing sounds they make. WTF! I was beating my hands instead of clapping when we did our group cheer. Haha! Had dinner and went for our Jungle Expedition briefing. Some were already dozing off while listening. Imagine how tired we are? -.- This will be a tough one, the insects are all waiting for us. Especially the mozzies and leeches. Let's embrace the nature! Hope the weather would be great. PRAY!
Day 5 - 02/12/08
Had morning PT and got ready for the Jungle Expedition. I hate this part the most and i believe that it would't be easy to pull through this 3D2N. Packed up, gathered and took a mini bus to somewhere remote. The jungle is big, large, enormous, gigantic, whatever you call it. The slopes were steep and while trekking, it rained. Fcuk! So much for the praying =.= Everywhere started to become muddy and everyone start to fall down. I was the sweeper, quite unlucky during rainy days. Because the slope is super muddy and hard to climb when it was my turn as i am the last one, and i had to make sure no one lags behind. It took us 2hours to reach the first campsite, where we are sleeping at. The night passes real slowly, the bugs are encroaching into our area. And i cannot sleep well because of the land is not flat. =.= I keep sliding down while i was trying to sleep. Damnit! Stupid night passes so slowly, I want to pool! T_T Hands itchy~
Day 6 - 03/12/08
Woke up early and packed up. Continue trekking to the second campsite. It gets steeper man -.- There were places where ropes were needed. Leeches also came into play, one of my friend cried when she saw the leech and she screamed. Real scary. The river where we rested at is quite cool also. I have never been to a river with flowing fresh water. It was slippery and leeches were there too. Sian! No peace man. Stupid bugs! Finished our lunch there and proceeded to the second campsite. There was a part where the whole place is totally mud, milo island. My legs were sinking into the mud. TMD! Soon, we finally reached the second campsite. Relieved! Pitched tents and started cooking dinner. Maggie mee for supper. Almost puked when i finished it. I think my appetite has become smaller. I have never love maggie mee that much-.-" I think it is the best food around. lol. Chatted with friends and ran into the tent to sleep before it rains. Phew~
Day 7 - 04/12/08
Stupid Jia Hao beat me till i woke up because there was a leech on his leg -.- Damnit. My sleep was ruined and it was what time? 3 freaking am! Went back to sleep and woke up at 6 plus. packed up and left at around 8am. Continue trekking up the forest to a road nearby. We took 22 minutes to reach there! That was fast, said the instructors :O Walked down the road, I was very happy. Thinking that the nightmare came to an end. The road was pretty long and FULL OF DUNGS! Haha! Rested at a place and we were to evaluate our group performance and explain why. To be truthful, my group is very good. Despite being from 4 different schools, we worked well together and cleared the two expedition, Sea and Jungle Expedition. Took the OBS van back. WOO! My happiness was indescribable. But i was very tired also, but i just feel so great. Finally I'm on board a motor-operated vehicle. I LOVE MOTOR! My legs are soaked and aching. Rested back at bunk, awaiting the final expedition, the mountain expedition. Mount Kinabalu Peak! Here I come!
